The Danish Agricultural Agency's new subsidy payment system, TUS 3, is to be developed by twoday, which will also be responsible for its operation, maintenance, and support during the contract period.
The Danish IT company twoday is set to deliver the Danish Agency's new subsidy payment system—also known as TUS 3. Thus, twoday will be responsible for both the development, operation, maintenance, and support throughout the nine-year contract period. The agreement between twoday and the Danish Agricultural Agency has a value in the double-digit millions during the contract period.
"We are looking forward to collaborating with twoday on the development of a new payment system that will benefit Danish agriculture. The system plays a vital role in our daily work, as it is used to efficiently pay out billions of subsidy funds annually to farmers, landowners, and researchers. As the agricultural sector transitions to green practices, subsidy opportunities are becoming increasingly specialized and targeted to increase their effectiveness, making it important that our systems are updated and developed to continue providing a secure foundation," says Jon Simonsen, Deputy Director for Resources at the Danish Agricultural Agency.
The new agreement also sparks great enthusiasm at twoday.
"We are delighted and proud that the Danish Agricultural Agency has chosen twoday as the supplier of the new TUS 3 system. We know that many in Danish agriculture rely on their subsidies being paid correctly and on time. We have proposed a solution that can meet this challenge and will help both agriculture and the agency for many years to come," says Lars Berthelsen, Managing Director of twoday in Denmark.
According to Lars Berthelsen, the development of the new TUS 3 solution will draw on several of twoday's group competencies.
"twoday's breadth allows us to bid on large and complex IT projects like this one with the Danish Agricultural Agency. The new TUS 3 system is built on a Business Central application, and twoday's strength in software development and ERP solutions will be crucial in creating the right solution. In general, we will draw on many of the different competencies that our employees have. We are therefore pleased that the Danish Agricultural Agency has recognized us as the most competent supplier with the highest quality in the proposed solution, and we look forward to starting work with the agency's employees," concludes Lars Berthelsen.
The parties expect the solution to be ready for use in two years.
