twoday has been selected as the sole supplier and strategic partner for the Norwegian Directorate of Health for the next four to six years.
– Good health is fundamental to the development of the Norwegian society. To ensure better services in the healthcare sector, secure facilitation of crises, and promote good health in the population, we must use technology more intelligently, says Kristin Nyberg, CEO of twoday Norway.
The goal of the agreement is to deliver excellent digital services to the health administration in Norway. The agreement includes system development and data analysis at the operational level. The contract's value is around 17 million euros annually, and the contract period is four years with the possibility of a two-year extension. twoday has Bouvet as a subcontractor.
– The Norwegian Directorate of Health is to be a driving force for renewal and improvement through digitization. We are therefore pleased to have chosen a long-term partner who will assist at both the strategic and operational levels across the entire portfolio of the Norwegian Directorate of Health's systems, says Olav Slåttebrekk, Assistant Director of Health.
At the core of twoday's competency
Only one partner is chosen for this comprehensive agreement. That means that twoday will have the overall responsibility for the Norwegian Directorate of Health to achieve its goals for digital transformation in the coming years. The two actors have collaborated closely for several years and look forward to an even closer collaboration in the future.
– Together with twoday, we will develop better services for the health administration. In line with digitization elsewhere in society, we must take an active position to use public funds as efficiently as possible. Choice of technology, use of smart methods, and cost efficiencies will enable us to achieve more for less, says Slåttebrekk.
At the operational level, twoday will assist with modernization, product development, data, and AI.
– These tasks are at the core of our competency. We have the opportunity to help the Norwegian Directorate of Health with its important societal mission, where the use of data and insights is critical to building trust and transparency in society, says Nyberg of twoday.
Technology partner for the healthcare sector
In addition to the agreement with the Norwegian Directorate of Health, twoday has earlier this year won extensive agreements with the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) and Vy, among others.
– We have the largest consulting hub in the Nordic region within data and AI, which was crucial to delivering the right expertise to the Norwegian Directorate of Health. The value we can extract with the combination of the areas of product development, data, and AI has led to several major agreements this year, says Nicolai Svendsen, Sales Director at twoday Norway.
Svendsen also highlights the importance of the agreement for twoday's position as a technology partner in the healthcare sector.
– We work with many central health actors in the Nordic region, and the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Norwegian Directorate of Health as such a central player confirms our position in the healthcare sector, says Svendsen.
